burt's 'gorilla nest' hotel fantasy for jonah is making the rounds now

we are never leaving the burt lore mines. just when the last quote cycle was dying down, a new one climbed out of the cave.

a thread on /tv/ from june 13th surfaced what appears to be a quote from burt directed at someone named jonah during his time in the tank. the quote, per the thread, goes like this:

"you know jonah, i like you a lot. my sexual fantasy would be that we'd meet up in a hotel room at night, we would chat, you'd make me laugh; you'd make me laugh a lot. and then all of a sudden, you'd build a gorilla nest. in fact i'd like you to build one right now."

chat, this is real.

the quote is being passed around with the energy of a newly discovered artifact, which, honestly, it kind of is. burt's in-tank confessions and propositions are well-documented at this point — the man has made no secret of who he finds attractive or what he wants — but the gorilla nest request is a new texture entirely.

for context: a gorilla nest is, technically, a sleeping structure made from bent branches and foliage. whether burt meant it literally, metaphorically, or as something only burt fully understands is left as an exercise to the viewer.

this is at minimum the second distinct burt quote to surface on /tv/ this week alone. a different tirade quote hit the catalog on june 11th and recirculated through june 12th. the gorilla nest drop on june 13th suggests whoever is sitting on this footage has a posting schedule.

burt's pattern of openly verbalizing attraction toward other fish is well-established in the lore — ted, alex b, frank hassle, payton, brandon all made the list at various points — and jonah now apparently joins that canon, complete with architectural requests.

a separate thread on june 14th posed the question of whether viewers even retain what they watch, which, in context, feels almost spiritually appropriate. you may not remember most of what happened in that tank. but you will remember the gorilla nest.

anyway. jonah never did build it, presumably.
