somebody on /tv/ is going to bat for the cinematography now

the disclosure day rehabilitation arc on /tv/ is adding new floors to the building.

chat, here is what we actually know and here is what we are inferring and they are not the same thing.

the case for this being disclosure day or one of the adjacent burt-linked titles, laid out skeptically:

1. per the thread itself (boards.4chan.org/tv/thread/222225862, august 1st), the anonymous poster is defending a film that has attracted active hatred on the board. /tv/ has been in continuous burt-film discourse since at least mid-june, making it the most plausible candidate for a movie generating that specific energy right now.
2. the "COLOR" defense is a new angle. previous /tv/ threads in the known record argued about casting legitimacy, burt's own credentials, whether he "had other choices," and whether clips could serve as a literal trailer. nobody in the documented discourse has come at it from a visual aesthetics standpoint until this thread, per available archives.
3. the framing "all too rare in modern slop" is exactly the kind of contrarian positioning /tv/ deploys when it has decided to rehabilitate something it was previously embarrassed to defend. the board did this with casting two weeks ago. doing it now with cinematography tracks.
