A Christian Magazine Just Used N3on's Stream as a Sermon and I Cannot Stop Thinking About It
Premier Christianity Magazine looked at an NBA player chatting with a Muslim streamer and saw the Holy Spirit at work. We are going to talk about this.
A religious publication has written up N3on's Kick stream as a masterclass in spreading the gospel. That sentence is real. It happened.
Darlings, Premier Christianity Magazine ran a piece arguing that Michael Porter Jr's on-stream conversation with N3on, a self-described Muslim streamer, is, and I am quoting the framing here, "a brilliant lesson in evangelism." The piece, dated September 24th, treats the moment not as content but as testimony.
Did N3on know he was hosting a spiritual case study? Almost certainly not. He was presumably doing what he does, which is talk to famous people on camera while Kick's viewer counter climbs. And yet here we are, with a Christian magazine dissecting his stream for theological takeaways.
The audacity of this being the crossover nobody saw coming. Not ESPN. Not Rolling Stone. Premier Christianity Magazine.
What this actually reveals is something the follower-count crowd keeps sleeping on: N3on's guest list has gotten genuinely strange and genuinely interesting. An NBA player having a real, apparently substantive conversation about faith on a Kick stream, substantive enough that a theological outlet felt compelled to write it up, is not nothing. That is a reach most cable talk shows do not have.
Does this count as a brand deal with Christianity? We have questions for his management. The man gifted a Maserati, made a reggae song, judged a college basketball event, and is now inadvertently providing content for the evangelical press. The pipeline is not linear.
We wish him clarity in this trying time of becoming an accidental interfaith dialogue facilitator. My loves, keep receipts, because this arc is nowhere near its final form.
Prediction: within six months, someone pitches N3on a faith-and-fitness collab and he says yes.
