xQc Called Joe Bartolozzi a 'Little Bitch Ass' on Stream. The Streamer Awards Discourse Has a New Casualty.
Five years of dominance. Zero nominations. One very specific name said very loudly on a Tuesday.
The man was mid-sentence when the restraint left him. It went quickly.
On Tuesday, October 20, during a live broadcast, xQc found himself reacting to commentary from Joe Bartolozzi, the creator and internet fixture, who had apparently floated the argument that Speed, at his current scale of popularity, had simply grown too large for a Streamer of the Year award to mean anything for him. A reasonable enough take, in the abstract. It did not land that way.
xQc, according to a clip reviewed by this publication and submitted to r/LivestreamFail, responded with the following: "So where was this energy when I had the most hours and the most variety..for 5 fuckin years..nobody was saying shit..so I don't give a shit anymore you little bitch ass, fuck you JoJo Bartolome."
The name he landed on at the end was "JoJo Bartolome." Joe Bartolozzi's name is not JoJo Bartolome. This correspondent will leave that detail where it fell, which is on the floor, in front of several thousand concurrent viewers.
To understand Tuesday, one must return to October 17, when the Streamer Awards 2026 nominations were announced and xQc received exactly zero of them. He responded on stream that same day. He responded again, in the context of the French protests discourse, two days after that. The man has not been quiet. What Tuesday added was a target with a first and last name, or at least a first and last name adjacent to one.
The core of xQc's grievance, stripped of its velocity, is not an unreasonable one. He is arguing, essentially, that the metrics which now disqualify Speed from serious award consideration, scale, omnipresence, the sense that voting for him would be redundant, were the same metrics xQc carried for half a decade without anyone extending him the same courtesy of calling the category beneath him. Nobody told xQc he was too big to lose. They just let him lose. Or, this year, let him not even be nominated.
That argument lands. It has a point inside it. Whether it lands on Joe Bartolozzi specifically, a man who, as far as the available signal suggests, was offering a general read on Speed's situation rather than a retrospective slight aimed at xQc, is a separate question. One that xQc did not appear to be entertaining.
Sources who requested anonymity because the group chat is private indicate that the clip moved fast on Tuesday, as clips do when they contain a man mispronouncing the name of the person he is currently furious at. r/LivestreamFail had it catalogued within hours.
Bartolozzi has not, as of this publication's deadline, responded publicly. The Streamer Awards have not responded. Speed has not responded. Nobody has confirmed whether xQc knows how to spell Bartolozzi, though this correspondent suspects the spelling was not the priority in that moment.
History will note that xQc arrived at the Streamer Awards season of 2026 with zero nominations and departed Tuesday with one fewer ally than he woke up with. Whether the math improves from here is a question for the next five years. Or, given the current pace, the next broadcast.
