Drake Quietly Dropped $10 Million Into Brand Risk Back in May and We Are Just Now Fully Processing This

The man who was trolling Adin Ross over a Top5 scam in September had already written a nine-figure check to Adin's fight promotion four months earlier. A journey.

So while the rest of us were celebrating Brand Risk 16 breaking Kick viewership records and Ed Craven calling it "an absolute banger," somebody quietly let slip that Drake had already thrown ten million dollars into Brand Risk Promotions back in May. Ten. Million. Dollars.

Darlings, the audacity of this timeline.

Let's back up. According to EssentiallySports, the $10M move reportedly went down around May 25, 2026, making Drake not just a cheerful troll on X but an actual financial stakeholder in Adin Ross's little fighting empire. The same empire that, per the known record, he was publicly mocking in September when Top5 allegedly scammed Adin and ghosted him. Investing in something you publicly ridicule is a choice we will be sitting with.

To understand why anyone would write that check, you have to go back even further, to March 2026, when Brand Risk was absorbing blows off the canvas of its own making. Blueface, according to HotNewHipHop, accused Adin Ross of outright rigging the Chibu fight, and DJ Akademiks weighed in with his usual enthusiasm for chaos. Adin pushed back. He then separately clarified, also per HotNewHipHop, that the judges in the Gypsy Crusader fight were not white, which is one of those sentences that tells you everything about the specific corner of the internet Brand Risk lives in. A vibe check it was not.

The promotion was loud, messy, and allegedly compromised. So naturally someone with a reported ten-figure net worth decided it was the right vehicle for a $10M bet.

Then came May 7, per ESPN, when Johnny Manziel and Bob Menery were booked to fight at the UFC Apex, which is a sentence that also requires a moment of silence. Whether that card had any formal Brand Risk involvement the reporting does not confirm, but the proximity to the Drake investment announcement is the kind of thing you file away and return to.

Now here is where it gets rich, and we do mean rich. By September, Drake was on social media apparently dunking on Adin after Top5 allegedly ghosted him for a bag. Keep receipts, obviously, but also keep context: if the investment reporting is accurate, Drake was not laughing at a stranger. He was allegedly laughing at his own portfolio. Now that is a power move or a disaster, depending entirely on how Brand Risk 16's numbers look on a spreadsheet.

And those numbers, as of October 19, look fine. Better than fine. The event set a new Kick viewership record for Adin, King Green's earlier mockery of Brand Risk pay notwithstanding. If Drake's reported stake is real and structured anywhere near equity, he is currently sitting on a very different conversation than the one he was having in September.

Adin has not, as of this writing, publicly confirmed or detailed the investment. Drake has not addressed it either. Darling, that is not a denial.

We wish both men clarity in this alleged business partnership they may or may not be publicly acknowledging, and we will be watching the Brand Risk 17 announcement date very, very closely.
