the hulu thing is real and it's not a movie

so it started as a rumor about a doc. then it became a rumor about a movie. and now, per an imdb exclusive published today, the hulu project attached to clavicular's name is neither of those things. it's a true crime series. a whole series. episodic. the kind of format that implies there is enough material to sustain multiple hours of structured narrative, which, given the last three weeks, tracks.

yahoo confirmed the update the same day, framing it as a project getting "an update after rape charge," which is one way to put it. another way to put it is that a streaming platform is actively developing a multi-episode true crime show about a 20-year-old kick streamer who brought a dog to his arraignment four days ago. the lore grows.

the original reporting on a potential hulu project had been vague enough that most people filed it under "wait and see." the movie framing came from early sourcing that apparently missed the format entirely. imdb's exclusive corrects the record: this is a series, not a doc, not a film. no episode count was reported. no premiere window. no detail about whether clavicular himself is cooperating with production or simply the subject of it.

chat, this is the part where the story gets structurally weird. the criminal case is active. a judge has already ordered clavicular not to post about his accuser online. a landlord is suing him over what a complaint describes as fart spray usage in a seven million dollar mansion. a missing 19-year-old was located at his looksmaxxing camp in LA last week. and somewhere in the middle of all of that, a hulu true crime series is in development with enough momentum that imdb is running exclusives about its format.

the timing is not subtle. arraignment was october 22nd. the not guilty plea is on record. the motion to dismiss was filed the same day. and now, four days later, the streaming update drops. whether the project predates the charges or emerged because of them is not clear from the reporting.

what is clear is that the arc has expanded past kick, past x, past the tabloid cycle that started when abc australia showed up at his looksmaxxing camp. a true crime series is a different kind of attention. it's structured, it has a runtime, it has an editorial point of view baked into the format. the difference between "drama on kick" and "hulu true crime series" is not a small one, and clavicular's team has not publicly responded to the project update as of this writing.

separately, clips from what appears to be a florida iteration of the looksmaxxing camp surfaced on x october 25th, per google news aggregation, generating a new round of online discussion one day before the hulu news dropped. the florida camp clips are unverified in terms of date and context, and no further detail was available at time of writing.

the project is real. the charges are real. the series is apparently happening regardless of how the criminal case resolves. none of that has been officially commented on by hulu, clavicular's representatives, or anyone else involved.

anyway. the episodes write themselves.
