Jet Has a New Girlfriend, Apparently

To understand October, one must briefly return to September. On or around September 10, a YouTube video filed under the banner of "Fishtank News" made a claim this correspondent has been tracking with appropriate caution: Jet, the production staffer and logistical backbone of the Fishtank enterprise, allegedly has a new girlfriend.

That is the sum total of what surfaced. Below, a structured accounting of the situation as it stands.

What we know. A YouTube video, reviewed by this publication in title form via Google News aggregation, carries the headline "Fishtank News Jet's New Girlfriend." It was indexed around September 10, 2026. The video exists. That is confirmed.

What the video actually says. Unknown. This correspondent has not independently viewed the full contents. The claims within it remain unverified. Attribution to "Fishtank News" suggests it originates from within the community's self-appointed media apparatus, which has a mixed record.

What Jet's role makes this interesting, if true. Jet operates as the show's primary conduit between production and cast, living full-time in the basement during active seasons, maintaining trust with fish who are under significant psychological pressure. He does not play a character. His personal life is, by design, less scrutinized than that of on-screen talent. A relationship surfacing publicly would represent a departure from that arrangement, however minor.

What Jet has said publicly. Nothing, to this publication's knowledge. No statement, no post, no confirmation or denial has been reviewed by this correspondent as of today's date.

What we genuinely do not know. Whether the girlfriend claim is accurate, who the individual allegedly is, how the information surfaced, and whether Jet is aware the claim circulated. Sources who requested anonymity because the group chat is private have not provided clarifying detail.

The wider context. Jet went live alongside JD as recently as March 2026 ahead of Season 5, suggesting his public-facing presence has expanded somewhat. Whether that expansion now extends to his romantic life being fair game for community coverage is a question the discourse has apparently decided to answer for him.

And yet. A single YouTube title is not a biography. This publication will update as verifiable information becomes available.

History will note that the people who build the infrastructure of spectacle rarely get to choose when they become the spectacle themselves.
