and it wasn't even a boss. it wasn't the wither or the ender dragon or anything with a health bar that demands respect. it was a piglin. a guy in gold pants. speed lost to a man in gold pants and took ten hours of joint progress with him.

according to dot esports, speed had already racked up 25-plus deaths trying to clear minecraft hardcore bosses before this happened. 25 deaths. in hardcore. that number is doing something to me personally.

here's my actual take: this is the best possible outcome for everyone involved. kai crying over lost progress, speed being a one-man catastrophe zone, the pink boat clip that somehow also surfaced from this same stream. this is what the collab was always going to be. speed is not a minecraft player. speed is a force of nature that happens to be holding a minecraft controller.

you cannot build anything stable with ishowspeed as your partner. this is not an insult. it is a genre. you watch him because the collapse is inevitable and spectacular and it's always a piglin, somehow.
