The UW reversal. The University of Washington announced a January speaking date for Piker, per the known reporting. Then, per JNS.org on August 7, the university cancelled it. No detailed public explanation has surfaced in the signal as of this writing. That was fast. Whether the cancellation was pressure-driven, procedural, or something else is, at this moment, unknown.

The citizenship attack. Tudor Dixon went on Hannity and described Piker, according to Media Matters' coverage of the clip, as "a birthright citizenship baby" and suggested "people mistakenly believe that he is also an American." Darling, that is not a policy critique, that is a targeting. Piker has not, per this signal, formally responded to Dixon specifically.

The Loomer situation. Per Hindustan Times on August 8, Piker has accused Laura Loomer of "targeting" him, using the phrase "hit out on me."
