The James Charles Google News Feed Has Added Eight More Obituaries, Two More Mshale Entries, and What Appears to Be a Drama Recap Video Title

As of the week of August 30, the Google News feed indexed under YouTube beauty creator James Charles contains, among other things, a Mshale entry whose headline reads: "JAMES CHARLES IS A MESS (weekly Teacap) Adam Hyde Canadian Border Detention (D3fSbnnr77)." The string "(D3fSbnnr77)" is consistent with a YouTube video ID. Mshale, a Minneapolis-based publication covering African communities, has now contributed multiple garbled entries to this feed across several weeks.

What the Mshale entries say. The August 26 entry appears, based on its title structure, to be a garbled aggregation of a YouTube gossip recap video, mixed with an unrelated item about a person named Adam Hyde and a Canadian border detention. A separate Mshale entry dated August 30 reads "Joanna Jedrzejczyk And Jessica Andrade Face Off James Charles," referencing two professional MMA fighters with no documented connection to the creator. Neither entry links to content that is verifiably about James Charles the YouTuber.

What the obituary count now looks like. Eight additional obituaries have surfaced in the feed since the last documented tally.
