Something Was Living in xQc's Lunchbox. It Was Not Lunch.

There are stories that arrive without preamble. This is one of them.

On September 10, 2026, during a live broadcast, Felix "xQc" Lengyel's lunchbox became the subject of two separate threads on r/LivestreamFail within hours of each other. The subject of those threads: an animal, apparently alive, apparently still inside the box. Documents, Reddit posts, reviewed by this publication confirm the titles "xqc lunchbox eaten by an animal that is still inside the box" and, more directly, "RAT IN XQC'S FOOD BOX."

This correspondent will now tell you what is known, and what is not.

What happened. During the stream, a lunchbox belonging to xQc appeared to have been compromised by an animal. A clip, described by users as showing "an arm or a tail for a brief moment," circulated across LivestreamFail. The box had allegedly been eaten into prior to the moment captured on camera.

What we can confirm. Two separate Reddit submissions, posted within close proximity on September 10, corroborate that something appeared inside or near the container on stream. The posts generated comment activity. Beyond that, this publication has not independently verified the species, the timeline, or how the animal entered the box.

What we don't know. Whether xQc saw the animal in real time. Whether this occurred at his residence or elsewhere. Whether the lunchbox was his or a prop, nearby object, or delivery container. The animal's current whereabouts are, at press time, unconfirmed.

What the internet did with it. Immediately and with great enthusiasm, the clip was labeled a rat sighting. The second thread title, "RAT IN XQC'S FOOD BOX", uses the definitive article. This is an editorial choice by the submitter, not a verified identification. It could have been a mouse. A small squirrel is not impossible. The discourse has not waited for taxonomy.

What xQc has said. As of publication, no on-stream response or statement from xQc addressing the lunchbox incident has surfaced through monitored sources.

It did not have to be this way for the lunchbox. And yet. Here we are, on a Thursday in September 2026, asking what exactly was inside a streamer's food container and whether it had, at some point, been looking back at him.
