MrBeast Filmed Beast Games Season 3 Inside the Roman Colosseum. Here Is What We Know.
A Just Jared report and a rambling Joe Rogan conversation surfaced within 24 hours of each other. Together, they sketch a creator who has run out of normal places to put a camera.
There are weeks when nothing happens, and days when decades happen. July 16, 2026 was not quite either. It was, however, the day the internet learned that MrBeast apparently filmed the season finale of Beast Games Season 3 inside the Roman Colosseum. A structure completed in 80 A.D. Built to host spectacle. History, as they say, does not repeat, but it does occasionally provide a venue.
To understand Thursday, one must step back and simply ask: where does a man go after he has already staged a competition show for Amazon Prime Video that became the most-watched unscripted debut in the platform's history? Apparently he goes to Rome. Specifically, according to a report published by Just Jared on July 16, he goes to the Colosseum.
The receipts, such as they are, arrive in roughly the following order:
- The Colosseum report. Just Jared, citing a MrBeast reveal, reported on July 16 that the Beast Games Season 3 finale was filmed at the Roman Colosseum. This publication reviewed the Google News index entry for that report. No footage has been independently verified by this correspondent at time of writing, and no Amazon or MrBeast spokesperson statement has been reviewed. It is, at this stage, an attributed claim from the creator himself.
- The Joe Rogan conversation. Dexerto reported, also on July 16, that MrBeast appeared on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience and that the two men spent, in Dexerto's characterization, "a large portion" of the episode workshopping a zombie survival competition show concept. The word "accidentally" in the headline does real work there. Rogan is described as having helped "inspire" the project, which does not confirm the project exists in any formal sense. It confirms a conversation happened.
Here is the genuinely strange thing about these two data points arriving together. The Colosseum story is about a production decision that has already been made, filmed, and will presumably air. The Rogan story is about a production decision that exists, at present, only as podcast energy. What they share is a logic: MrBeast is now operating at a scale where the next idea has to be stranger and larger than the last one, because the last one was filmed inside a 2,000-year-old amphitheater. The escalation ladder has very few rungs left before it exits the atmosphere.
Sources who requested anonymity because the group chat is private have not weighed in on this. They did not need to. The discourse is doing its own work.
It did not have to be this way. At some point, a man made videos where he counted to 100,000. Now he is booking ancient Roman architecture. What this means for the rest of us, who also live on this planet and watch things on screens, is a question this publication will continue to monitor with the gravity it deserves.
