Mizkif Sat Down and Watched Asmongold's Version of Events. A Clip Made It to r/LivestreamFail.

On July 14, a submission to r/LivestreamFail showed Mizkif watching Asmongold's own on-stream coverage of their shared controversy. It is the first documented instance of either man appearing to consume the other's output in real time.

On July 14, a clip submitted to r/LivestreamFail by user /u/digitalpizza5 showed Mizkif watching what the post described as Asmongold's past coverage of their ongoing controversy. The submission offered no timestamp or runtime. It did not need one. The image of Mizkif as audience to a two-week-long stream of statements, receipts, and third-party callouts was the story.

That posture is new. Since July 7, when a judge dismissed Asmongold from Mizkif's defamation lawsuit against Emiru while allowing the case against Emiru to continue, the two men have operated on parallel tracks, rarely addressing each other directly. Mizkif published a video explaining the ruling, then on July 9 released what he described as a Discord conversation between Emiru and Asmongold. Asmongold, in turn, said on July 9 he would not respond to the screenshots, then reversed course on July 11 to address both the Discord leak and separate Softgiving charity allegations in the same stream. The July 14 clip, per the r/LivestreamFail submission, suggests at least one of them is now watching the other catch up.

What Asmongold has been saying

The volume of on-stream statements Asmongold produced between July 9 and July 13 is worth laying out plainly, because the clip Mizkif was reportedly watching could have been almost any of it.

On July 10, Media Matters published a report on Asmongold's quote about radicalizing people and his immigration rhetoric. That same day, xQc said in a stream that n-word allegations against Asmongold did not surprise him. On July 11, Asmongold addressed both the Softgiving charity controversy and the Discord leak he had earlier said he would not touch, making statements on both in a single stream. On July 12, he provided what he described as receipts showing the n-word clip was a demonstration of censorship, then said in a separate stream that he believed the word was actually said by someone named Jason. He also called out Mizkif's ad campaign that day. On July 13, SuperTF called Asmongold racist on stream, and Asmongold announced his house had completed renovations and was now roach-free.

That last item is not editorially relevant to the lawsuit or the n-word clip. It is in the record because it happened.

For the record, no direct exchange between Mizkif and Asmongold has been publicly documented during this period. Their conflict has played out through attorneys, Discord screenshots, and third parties, with SuperTF serving as the most recent named voice to weigh in publicly as of July 13.

The numbers that have been following all of this

Separate from the interpersonal timeline, Ad Hoc News published an analysis on July 13 focused on Asmongold's Twitch live pull. The outlet had previously published a fourth Asmongold analysis on July 7, also centered on streaming numbers. The July 13 piece marks at least a fifth entry in their coverage series. Ad Hoc News has not, as of this writing, indicated what audience data it is drawing on or how it is calculating pull figures, but the outlet's repeated returns to the same metric over a six-day span suggest the numbers are moving in a direction its editors consider worth tracking.

Whether Mizkif's apparent decision to watch Asmongold's coverage affects those numbers, or is itself a response to them, is not established by the clip.

What the clip does establish, narrowly, is that Mizkif was on stream on July 14 watching footage connected to Asmongold. The r/LivestreamFail post generated comments, as r/LivestreamFail posts do. The contents of those comments are not part of this report.

  1. July 9: Mizkif publishes alleged Discord conversation between Emiru and Asmongold. Asmongold says he will not respond.
  2. July 11: Asmongold breaks stated silence, addresses Softgiving allegations and Discord leak on stream.
  3. July 12: Asmongold releases what he describes as receipts on the n-word clip. Separately calls out Mizkif's ad campaign.
  4. July 13: SuperTF calls Asmongold racist on stream. Ad Hoc News publishes new Twitch pull analysis.
  5. July 14: Clip submitted to r/LivestreamFail shows Mizkif watching Asmongold's coverage of the controversy.

What happens next

Open questions as of July 14: whether Mizkif responded verbally on stream to what he was watching, and whether that response has been clipped or reported elsewhere. Whether Asmongold's July 12 receipts and Jason attribution have been addressed by any party named in the original clip. Whether the defamation case against Emiru, which the judge allowed to continue on July 7, has any scheduled proceedings that would bring either Mizkif or Asmongold back into a public filing. And whether Ad Hoc News publishes a sixth Twitch pull analysis before any of the above resolves.
