A Michigan Democrat went on CNN and reportedly prayed, on camera, that Piker would not set foot in the state before Election Day. Debbie Dingell, who told cameras last week that she was done, was pressed again Thursday by CNN's John Berman when she refused to answer further questions about Piker. Berman pressed. Dingell held the line. CNN aired the confrontation anyway.

El-Sayed, for his part, is performing normalcy at a pace that is visibly straining something. He confirmed to CBS News that he has now spoken directly with Michigan State Senator Jeremy Moss following Piker's remarks, which matters because per earlier reporting, endorsement conversations with Moss had already quietly collapsed over the Piker association. Whether that call repaired anything is, per the available record, unknown. El-Sayed has also been stumping alongside Representative Jamie Raskin, and according to Times of Israel reporting, both men sidestepped every question about Piker and Israel at Michigan campaign stops. Piker's own response to the week was to go on offense, declaring that mainstream media is experiencing a "crisis of credibility." He has consistently framed the institutional condemnation as a coordinated AIPAC-driven pile-on rather than organic backlash, and he is not moving off that position. Whether it lands as a defense or a distraction depends entirely on which corner of the platform you inhabit.
