Per Yahoo and Fox News, Senator John Fetterman has reportedly offered Abdul El-Sayed $25,000 per rally if El-Sayed will actually campaign alongside Hasan Piker, and he apparently asked whether El-Sayed and his allies are "cowards." The audacity of the checkbook as rhetorical device. El-Sayed, who has spent the better part of two weeks refusing to answer questions about Piker at public events, has not taken Fetterman up on this, allegedly.

What Carville said. James Carville, who has been on the sidelines of exactly zero political fights in his life, reportedly called Piker an "idiot" and declared he does not answer for "people who are not Democrats," per Yahoo. He also, per 930 WFMD, ordered the DSA to change its name entirely. The DSA, for reference, just officially backed "our Twitch streamer" and ripped an anti-socialism House resolution in the same breath. We wish James strength in this trying time of his own making.

What Markey's win changes. Senator Ed Markey won his Massachusetts primary, according to tippahnews.com, with backing from progressive supporters including Piker. So Piker's endorsement just helped an 80-year-old senator lock down six more years. The moderates who want to use Piker as a 2028 liability, per a Vox report out today, may want to explain how that math works in a state where the endorsement apparently moved in the right direction.

What the 2028 play actually is. Vox is reporting that moderates have a specific strategic goal: cement Piker as a liability for the next presidential cycle, not just this Michigan Senate race. That is a multi-year campaign being built in real time around a Twitch streamer. A journey.

What we still don't know. Whether El-Sayed responds to Fetterman's dare in any form. Whether Piker addresses Carville directly on stream. And whether the Markey win gives the pro-Piker flank any actual ammunition to push back on the liability narrative.
