Google's James Charles Spam Problem Just Promoted Itself to Government Level

The university domain phase is over. Google News has now routed explicit spam into James Charles's creator feed via a Czech government domain, and that is a meaningful upgrade in absurdity.

On September 24, 2026, a headline reading "++SEX~VIDEO~PORN)XXX James Charles Leaked video xxx sex videos Xxx Videos Porn Videos 2026" was indexed in the creator's Google News feed with czechinvest.gov.cz listed as the attributed source. That is the official domain of CzechInvest, the Czech Republic's state-run business and investment promotion agency, operating under the country's Ministry of Industry and Trade.

For the record: the previous explicit spam entries in this feed were attributed to Cal Poly Pomona, Loughborough University, and a Quebec provincial health authority domain. All institutional. All bad. But there is a taxonomic difference between a compromised university CMS and a sitting government agency's domain appearing in a Google News feed beside a makeup creator's coverage.

This is not James Charles's problem to solve. He did not put his name in this headline. The spam authors did, because his name drives clicks, and Google's indexing infrastructure apparently cannot distinguish between a government investment agency publishing economic development briefs and that same domain hosting algorithmically targeted smut.

Two more obituaries also surfaced in the same feed window, a James Charles Roselius from Kinnelon, New Jersey, indexed September 16, and a James Charles Salzano entry from Tribute Archive, dated May 15. The feed has been collecting deceased strangers who share the creator's name for months now. That has become routine. The Czech government domain has not.

The pattern is clear enough. Spam actors are identifying high-traffic creator names, placing explicit content on compromised or vulnerable institutional domains, and watching Google News do the distribution for them. Each new institutional host represents a fresh failure point in the same pipeline.

What happens next: Whether Google addresses the czechinvest.gov.cz indexing specifically, whether CzechInvest has publicly acknowledged the domain compromise, and whether the spam entries remain accessible or are removed from the feed remain open as of September 24, 2026.
