According to a clip submitted to r/LivestreamFail on August 9, Asmongold argued that social media platforms should permanently ban any user who calls for violence. This statement was made while his ZackRawrr Twitch channel was mid-suspension. The comments that reportedly triggered that suspension, as attributed by the Hindustan Times and Times of India, included the phrase "I'd shoot whoever" in the context of border crossings.

He confirmed the ban length on August 8, telling his audience the suspension runs two weeks and that he plans to appeal in hopes of getting it reduced to one. So the man arguing for permanent bans on violent rhetoric is negotiating to shorten the ban he received for violent rhetoric. Both things happened within 24 hours of each other.
