Asmongold Has a New Fitness Coach. It Is the Comment Section.
The Twitch streamer has formally requested that the internet keep insulting his body. He says it helps.
Asmongold has asked the internet to keep body shaming him, and by any measure, this is a coherent approach to fitness motivation.
On September 8, a clip submitted to r/LivestreamFail showed the Twitch streamer telling his audience to continue the criticism. His stated reasoning: the shaming makes him more self-aware and motivates him to exercise and look better. He asked them, explicitly, to keep going.
This is not a bit. For the record, this is the same person who, in roughly the preceding week, called a tech YouTuber an idiot and remarked on that YouTuber's wife's disability (September 5), said joining ICE would be a dream job (September 3), and advised fellow streamers to maintain a public image as a kind of secondary personality (September 2). The body shaming request is, somehow, the most internally consistent statement in that stretch.
Most people quietly absorb the mean comments. Asmongold has apparently read them, identified a motivational response, and decided to formalize the arrangement. There is a version of this that is psychologically interesting. There is also a version where a very online person has simply optimized their audience into a gym membership they do not have to pay for.
The request will work on one end. LSF is not going to decline an open invitation. Whether the gym sessions materialize is a separate question, and the clip does not answer it.
What happens next: Whether Asmongold provides any documented follow-up on the exercise claim, and whether the volume of responses on r/LivestreamFail produces a secondary thread or a content cycle around the original request.
