An Actual NBA Player Just Promised to Copy N3on's Shooting Form, and We Have So Many Questions

Darlings, we have reached a new frontier. Michael Porter Jr., Denver Nuggets forward and actual professional basketball player with an actual NBA contract, has apparently watched N3on shoot a basketball and decided: yes, that is the form I want.

What we know: Per a report from HITC published September 16, MPJ has promised to adopt N3on's shooting form heading into the NBA season. That is the sentence. It is real. We did not make it up.

What triggered this: N3on has been running NBA players through his stream at a remarkable clip lately. Norman Powell was just there naming the Lakers the most overrated team in the league. The man's livestream is becoming an unregulated sports talk show and nobody stopped it. MPJ appears to be the latest guest, and apparently left inspired enough to rethink his mechanics.

What we don't know: Whether MPJ is joking, doing a bit, or has genuinely looked at N3on's release point and thought "that's the one." The HITC headline does say "promises," which is a strong word. We are choosing to take it at face value because the alternative is less interesting.

What N3on gets out of this: The man already has a $100 million AI clone valuation per FaZe Banks, a confirmed UFC corner gig, and a poker trophy. Now he can add "influenced an NBA player's shot mechanics" to the resume. The scoreboard, babes.

What the NBA gets out of this: Unclear. Possibly nothing. Possibly chaos. We will monitor MPJ's shot chart this season with more attention than we have ever given a shot chart.
