A Class Action Lawsuit Just Named Adin Ross, Drake, DJ Akademiks, Stake, and Kick in an Alleged New Jersey Fraud Scheme

Impresa Legal Group filed the suit back in April. It just surfaced. Here is what we know, what we don't, and why the timing could not be more awkward.

Darlings, when it rains it pours, and apparently Adin Ross forgot to buy an umbrella.

While the streamer has spent the last month building boxing cards, collecting motivational speeches from Andrew Tate, and allegedly not paying people, a class action lawsuit filed in April quietly waited in the wings. Now it's center stage.

What We Know

The suit exists. According to a PR Newswire release dated April 24, 2026, Impresa Legal Group filed a class action lawsuit naming Adin Ross, Drake, DJ Akademiks, Stake, Kick, and a George Nguyen, alleging a conspiracy to defraud New Jersey residents. That is a very long guest list for a very bad party.

The platform angle. Stake and Kick are both named defendants, per the filing. Stake is the crypto casino that has sponsored Ross's streams for years. Kick is the streaming platform he moved to after his Twitch tenure. Cozy little group, no?

Drake is in the mix. The same Drake who, per reporting from May 25, bought in as part owner of Ross's Brand Risk Promotions. So the man is allegedly both a co-defendant and a business partner. That is a journey.

What We Don't Know

The specifics of the alleged fraud. The PR Newswire release names the parties and the jurisdiction but does not detail the underlying mechanics of the alleged scheme. We have a cast and a charge, but not a full script. Nothing here is proven.

Whether any of the named parties have responded. As of publication, no public statement from Ross, Drake, Akademiks, Stake, Kick, or Nguyen has surfaced addressing this lawsuit specifically.

The current status of the case. Filing and prevailing are two very different things. Class actions get filed; class actions also get dismissed. This is the opening act, not the verdict.

Why It Matters Right Now

The suit was filed April 24. Ross spent $1.5 million on his Brand Risk 14 Apex event in late May. Drake bought in as a co-owner days later. Keep receipts, because the timeline does not flatter anyone here. Meanwhile the unpaid-talent complaints from Blueface and Johnathan Jamall Porter are already on the record. A class action alleging consumer fraud is a different category of problem entirely, and my loves, the audacity of continuing to expand a boxing promotion while this sits in a courthouse somewhere is genuinely something.

We will be watching for any response from the named parties. Do not hold your breath waiting for a graceful one.

WHO'S INVOLVED: Adin Ross
