A Banned Streamer, 36, Would Like You to Know Things Are Getting Bad
A clip is going around. It has nothing to do with politics, Twitch drama, or medieval European demographics. It is considerably more personal than that.
Somewhere between predicting the collapse of his primary platform, departing a streamer collective he helped found, and logging a reaction video or two on YouTube, a familiar figure in the Twitch ecosystem found a moment to take stock. Of himself. Specifically: the single part, the isolated part, and the part about being 36.
A clip picked up by MSN on June 24 shows the streamer in question reflecting on his personal situation in terms that his own words, per the report, summarized as "This is getting bad guys." The clip circulated while he was banned from Twitch. The other recent milestones, the OTK exit, the Hasan Piker exchange, the Gothic Remake playthrough, remained unaddressed in this particular moment.
For the record: the streamer is Asmongold.
What happens next: Whether Asmongold elaborates on the remarks on stream or YouTube, and whether a separate report noting his reaction to ExtraEmily's own Twitch ban (NDTV Sports, July 1) becomes part of a wider pattern of ban-related commentary, remains open.
