N3on Got Banned by WWE and Dom Mysterio Flipped Him Off, So the Apology Tour Has Officially Begun
Saying sorry after you've already been shown the door is a very specific kind of humbling, darlings.
The apology came after the ban. Read that again.
According to multiple reports including Fightful and ITR Wrestling, N3on has allegedly been banned by WWE following the now-infamous incident in which he filmed Penta backstage without his mask during a livestream. Per the clip that circulated, Penta requested the footage be deleted. N3on has since stated publicly that he apologized to Penta directly. Growth. A journey. Except the apology reportedly landed after WWE had already made their decision, which reframes the whole thing considerably.
And if the ban wasn't enough of a message, Dom Mysterio apparently had something to add. Per Cageside Seats, Dom flipped N3on off over the incident. That is not a statement you can PR your way through. That is a Legacy Roster Member communicating in the clearest possible language.
Here is the thing about N3on's brand, darlings. The entire engine runs on access. Athletes, celebrities, locker rooms, backstage passes, the kind of proximity that turns a Kick stream into appointment viewing. WWE was exactly that kind of door. A storyline, a Wrestlemania appearance, an entire vertical of content, gone. Over footage that, per reports, he was asked to delete and did. The damage was already done the moment it went live.
We covered the initial incident when Penta made the deletion request. But an apology after a ban reads differently than a voluntary one. It reads like damage control dressed as accountability, and the wrestling press covering it across Fightful, SEScoops, Slam Wrestling, and SPORTbible simultaneously means N3on is now the cautionary tale in every future streamer-backstage-access conversation.
Ringside News cited WWE's backstage reaction as significant. That is the organization deciding, collectively, that the clip was a problem worth acting on. N3on can apologize all he wants. The badge isn't getting swiped again anytime soon.
We wish him well in this trying time of his own making. The scoreboard, for once, has nothing to do with follower counts.
