Destiny Said Elon Musk Got Him Banned. Fandom Pulse Would Like a Word.

The ban had barely cooled when, according to Fandom Pulse's September 2025 reporting, Steven "Destiny" Bonnell was already building an alternate timeline. Not the one where Twitch pulled his channel over comments Twitch itself flagged. A different one. The one where Elon Musk and the conservative internet are the real villains of the story.

Per the Fandom Pulse piece, Bonnell allegedly characterized his removal as a targeted action driven by right-wing pressure rather than by anything he actually said. Darling that is not a denial. That is a redirect with ambitions.

Now, to be fair to Steven, the man does have genuine enemies on that particular flank of the culture war. The Western Journal framed him as a leftist agitator shadowing TPUSA events as recently as September 21, 2025. He got heckled at his own college debate event the day before that. The conservative internet was absolutely taking swings. None of that, however, is the same as the conservative internet causing a Twitch ban.

Fandom Pulse, to be clear, is not exactly a neutral arbiter here. The outlet has a known ideological lean and a documented appetite for "streamer lies" framing. Their headline calls the behavior lying outright, which is their editorial call to make, and one worth holding at arm's length. What the reporting does establish, allegedly, is that Bonnell was publicly shaping a narrative that placed external political enemies at the center of his deplatforming story.

The audacity of the timing is its own thing. This alleged blame-shift appears to have landed in September 2025, months before the Twitch CEO would, in May 2026, publicly explain the unban and the rapid reban in terms that had nothing to do with Elon Musk. A journey. We will be here for all of it.

And if this feels familiar, it is because Destiny has a well-documented habit of treating the information ecosystem around his controversies as a competitive arena. The man does not simply have a scandal. He has a competing press release about the scandal. Sometimes multiple. His November 2025 conflict with Hasan Piker over the Nick Fuentes amplification accusations followed the same pattern: the incident, then the counter-framing, then weeks of discourse.

The conservative pile-on was real. The suggestion that it caused the ban, per Twitch's own subsequent explanations, appears to be a significant stretch at best. Bonnell's audience skews toward people who will forensically check that kind of claim, which makes the alleged maneuver either very confident or very optimistic.
